The perfect watch for global travellers, this 45.50 mm Worldtimer features a brushed case and bezel in black ceramic, with a laser-ablated diving scale that is polished in positive relief.
At the centre of the dial, OMEGA has produced a vision of the Earth on a grade 5 titanium surface. Seen from above the North Pole, this topographic map is created using laser-ablation and grey varnish. It is circled by a 24-hour indicator, divided into night and day sections on transparent hesalite.
The outer section of the dial is produced in a DLC black colour with a laser-ablated and polished honeycomb pattern. It includes diamond-brushed indexes filled with grey Super-LumiNova, and an outer ring in grey varnish. A variety of global destinations circles the dial and its outer ring, including OMEGA’s home city of Bienne, while the grey PVD coated hands also include grey Super-LumiNova.
This Worldtimer is worn on an integrated strap in black structured rubber, with black-grey underside, grey stitching, and a foldover clasp in ceramic and ceramised titanium. Powering the watch is OMEGA’s Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8938, which can be seen through the sapphire crystal caseback.
-
Anti-magnetic
The movement is unaffected by exposure to strong magnetic fields, even those greater than 1.5 tesla (15,000 gauss).
-
Chronometer
Label given to a watch which has undergone precision tests and received a certificate from an official body (COSC).
-
Date
The day of the month, displayed in a window on a watch dial at the 3 or 6 o’clock position, or within a subdial at 9 o’clock.
-
Master Chronometer Certified
Guaranteeing the Swiss industry’s highest standard of precision, performance and magnetic-resistance, as set by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS).
-
Screw-in crown
Self-locking crown, screwed into the tube of the case, used for highly water resistant divers’ watches.
-
Time zone function
Allows the hour hand to be easily adjusted to different time zones without stopping the watch.
-
Transparent caseback
A transparent caseback – frequently made of sapphire – makes it possible to see the movement inside the watch.
-
Unidirectional rotating bezel
A bezel which turns in only one direction. Particularly useful for divers who cannot accidentally rotate it in the wrong direction, which could cause them to miscalculate their dive times. A rotating bezel makes it easy to measure elapsed time.
-
Worldtimer
A Worldtimer watch allows you to read the time in different time zones, symbolised by cities or geographic areas on the dial, thanks to the 24-hour disc.
